Artist Statement
my move to shelter island three years
ago has made a major change to my life and work. the harbor is a place where
all you can hear are the sounds of water, wind and birds. the light changes
constantly as the sun moves across the sky dimmed by the shifting clouds. the wind stirs the water into ever
changing colors and patterns. this
series of paintings, color
drift, is a result of my looking beyond my window.
